28 days to go - and missing the party...
Just 28 days to go and so much to do! JB is still trying to get her flights sorted for the first part of the trip, so I can't make my UK and Europe bookings yet. Maybe later this week...
As for those crazy Round-the-Worlders... big party in Sydney tonight for the Cruise Critic group, with over 20 people due to turn up. Should be quite an event. Then the Dawn Princess sets sail tomorrow afternoon. I seem to have gone a subtle shade of green...
I looked seriously at doing Sydney to Dubai, if there was a spare cabin going last minute. Unfortunately that plan was scuttled by Indian visa requirements - I couldn't get one organised in time. I also considered going over to Sydney for the CC party, but couldn't quite manage that either. So I will just have to wait patiently, browse through my pictures from last year, and sigh periodically... :-)

Yes, I know what I said!
Last year I blogged my way around the world. This year I decided not to blog - yeah right!
I got nagged by so many people that I finally caved in, and here is the result - another blog. And as usual, I'm late in getting organised, so this is going live just 5 weeks before I leave. And not having used Blogger since I arrived back home last year, it could take a few weeks to get my head around it again. Patience please folks!
So the highlights of this trip:
* Business class flights from Wellington to London, via Melbourne and Hong Kong - thank you Mr Airpoints!
* 10 days in the UK, based in London.
* 2 weeks tripping with JB from Vienna to Berlin (via Prague) and on to Amsterdam - only to be abandoned as JB wings her way to a conference in the States.
* 7 weeks cruising on the Dawn Princess from Amsterdam to Auckland - 15 ports, 10 of which are different from last year.
What a blast!
Oh, and if you are interested in checking out last year's blog:
